Today I worked on some character animation and sent it to the artist for his approval. I also did some work in the way of putting the actual events in the game rather than just working on a sandboxesque (Yeah, I'm a regular wordsmith) lifeless void. I'm starting to get the idea that my time is better spent roughing in the entire game and then going back to work on the details. So I'm going to start doing that from now on. Like always, I don't want to keep making these posts for every minute detail of the game so I want to warn you that I will no longer post until something momentous happens.

I haven't made a post since last year so I figured that I'm overdue. I've been recently been working on the mechanics that will be used for enemies throughout the game. They control things like splatters, giblits, and various other bits and peices that have no real use other than to make the game look asthetically pleasing. I probably shouldn't be worrying about such things this early in the production, but I just find it a bit more fun to make this kind of stuff.
I've also been working on some concept art for the Grizzly Woods area of the game in the spare time I have during a class in webpage design. It's worth the weird looks I'm getting from the other people in the computer lab to get a jump start on the art for that area.

The last few days I've been working on replacing all of the placeholder "E.T." art with newly finished art from our game artist. I've also completed a few loops for the games background music. I'm going to start to keep these updates a bit more vague to avoid revealing too much about the game.

I finished the mechanics of the pistol today, shells and all. The game is designed to merge the shells to the background so that they don't cause lag and have the added bonus of not fading away. With this, "The Madlands" is starting to look more and more like a game.
