Classes and Team IndicatorEdit

A list of classes can be found here. There are 2 different teams that are played as in multiplayer; Rebel Specialists and Watcher Elites. Each team has their own appearance for each class, so there's a Rebel and a Watcher version of each class, which is what indicates what team you're on. Each team also has its own variations of each class's masks. As a reference, Rebels use more improvised-looking armor than Watcher, which uses more high-tech types of armor. Rebel-owned zones are colored red, while Watcher-owned zones are colored blue.

Unlock SystemEdit

At level 1 for each class (the first time you play as that class), you get to pick 1 primary and secondary weapon, 1 device, 1 perk, and 1 power weapon, giving you a total of 5/29 items for that class unlocked. At level 2 and beyond, you get to pick 1 thing that you want to unlock from any of the 5 categories.

InventoryEdit

As you unlock more stuff for a class to use, the things that you aren't currently using are in your inventory. Your inventory is accessed whenever you die, or when you first join a game. You can change your class's weapon loadout using the inventory.

Leveling and ExperienceEdit

As mentioned above, there is a leveling system for the multiplayer half of The Madlands. To level up, you must gain experience (Exp) by completeing objectives and getting kills. The amount of experience you gain per kill or objective completion depends on the game mode.

MoneyEdit

Money is similar to experience in terms of how it's earned. You earn money by doing something that has to do with the game mode you are currently playing, such as capturing a flag or zone, or killing an enemy flag carrier. Money is used to buy attachments for each individual class in the Shop. The total sum of money you earn with all classes is combined and put into one pool of money, so the money you earn with one class can be used to buy an attachment for another class.

AttachmentsEdit

A list of attachments and extra info can be found here. Attachments are basically used to enhance a weapon. Unique to The Madlands is the ability to not only give firearms attachments, but melee weapons as well. Melee weapons also have an entirely different set of attachments to choose from. Once you buy an attachment for a class, that attachment is available for all weapons for that class.

Power WeaponsEdit

Power weapons are abnormally powerful weapons, but come with limited use. Each mode has its own requirement to unlock a power weapon, usually involving completing objectives, much like how earning money works. Power weapons aren't always just powerful weapons, they are also sometimes useful in other ways, with the general use of power weapons differing between classes. More info can be found here.

ModesEdit

Map EditorEdit

There will be an in-game map editor, but details are to be determined. Tile themes include: Forest, City, Swamp, Sewer, Biohazard, and Desert.

AchievementsEdit

There are also many achievements to unlock in multiplayer. In fact, upon unlocking certain ones, you are rewarded with a mask for whatever class those achievements had to do with. Each class has 3 masks that it can unlock. A list of achievements can be found here.
